JSK PixHaul — Image Downloader, Resizer & Compressor

JSK PixHaul privacy policy

JSK PixHaul is a browser extension that finds, downloads, resizes and compresses images. All image processing happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly codecs. JSK PixHaul does not upload your images and does not track your browsing.

Information we collect

JSK PixHaul does not collect personal information for its own analytics. Specifically:

  • It does not record the pages you visit, your browsing history, or your identity.
  • Images you scan, download, resize or compress are handled entirely on your device.
  • If you connect a JSKAPPS account, JSK PixHaul stores your JSKAPPS API key locally in the browser and sends it to the JSKAPPS licensing service to check which plan you're on. That request contains your API key and the product identifier — not your images and not your browsing history.

How we use it

  • Your locally stored settings and saved profiles are used only to remember your preferences.
  • Your JSKAPPS API key is used only to verify your plan with JSKAPPS.

Permissions and why we need them

  • activeTab — to read the current page's images when you click Scan.
  • scripting — to inject the image finder (and optional auto-scroll) into the active tab.
  • downloads — to save images and ZIP files to your computer.
  • storage — to save your settings and profiles locally in the browser.
  • sidePanel — to show the JSK PixHaul workspace.
  • offscreen — to run the image codecs (WebAssembly) off the main thread.
  • contextMenus — to add the right-click "compress & download" menu.
  • declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess — (Pro) to set the Referer header for hotlink-protected image requests, only on sites you explicitly grant.
  • optional host access (*://*/*) — requested only when you choose "Grant site" or "Grant all sites," so JSK PixHaul can read image file sizes and fetch images hosted on other domains. You can revoke it any time.
  • licensing host access — to reach the JSKAPPS licensing service and check your plan.

Data storage and retention

Settings, profiles and your API key are stored locally in the browser (extension local storage and IndexedDB) and remain until you clear them, disconnect, or uninstall the extension. JSK PixHaul keeps no server-side copy of your data.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell or share your data. The only network request JSK PixHaul makes on its own behalf is to the JSKAPPS licensing service, to check your plan. When you download or process an image, your browser fetches that image from its own host — the same request the page itself would make.

Security

Because images are processed on your device, there is no image data in transit to secure. Your API key is stored locally and sent only over HTTPS to JSKAPPS.

Your choices

  • Use JSK PixHaul with no account at all.
  • Disconnect your account any time from Settings → Account — this keeps your local data.
  • Clearing the extension's data or uninstalling it removes everything stored locally.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date.
