JSK Photo Studio privacy policy

Overview

JSK Photo Studio processes your photos entirely on your own device. Images are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. The extension requests a single permission — local storage — and no access to any website.

Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. We have no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no advertising. We do not know how many photos you make, which document sizes you use, or that you installed the extension at all.

If you choose to connect a JSKAPPS account, your API key is stored locally in the browser and sent to api.jskapps.com to check which plan you are on. That request contains your API key and the product identifier — no photo, no filename, and no image data of any kind.

How we use it

Your photos are used only to produce the output you asked for, in your browser. A connected API key is used only to determine which features your plan unlocks.

Permissions and why we need them

storage — to keep your settings, your panel layout, an interrupted editing session and your saved projects on your own device.

That is the complete list. In particular:

We request no host permissions, so the extension cannot read or modify any website.
We do not use the tabs, downloads, scripting or activeTab permissions.
Downloads are performed with an ordinary link, which is why no download permission is needed.

Data storage and retention

Everything is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB and extension storage:

Interrupted sessions expire automatically after 24 hours.
Saved projects and settings stay until you delete them.
Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing is sent to them.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, share or transfer your data, because we do not have it. There are no third-party scripts, SDKs, fonts or analytics in the extension.

The only network destination the extension can contact is api.jskapps.com, and only to check the plan of an account you have deliberately connected.

Security

Your images never leave your device, which removes the largest category of risk outright. Photo metadata is stripped by construction: exports are re-encoded from raw pixels, so EXIF and GPS location data are never carried into a file you save.

Your choices

Use the extension without an account — then it makes no network requests at all.
Disconnect an account at any time from Settings; your local work is untouched.
Clear all local data in Settings removes saved projects, any resumable session and your settings in one action.
Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage with it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the extension's release notes.
